On 28 February , Vice Consul General Wang Junchao and Vice Consul General Liu Pengxiang joined by the young staff of the Consulate General, visited Fisher & Paykel Appliances R&D Center and met with the company's management on the New Zealand home appliance market. 

Roy Liu, Executive Vice President of Haier Liaison, and Shane Rehm, Executive Vice President Product Development of Fisher & Paykel, introduced the company's products and sales operations in New Zealand. Vice Consul General Wang spoke highly of Fisher & Paykel's role in promoting China-New Zealand economic and trade cooperation. He hoped that the company would strengthen risk management, adhere to laws and regulations, and fulfill its corporate social responsibilities to make greater contributions to local socioeconomic development. The Consulate General will facilitate the company's overseas operations as always.

Fisher & Paykel, the largest home appliance brand in New Zealand, was fully acquired by Haier Group in 2012.
